Gorenjska Region

The Gorenjska region is where the beautiful Alpines mountains of Slovenia are: at the northwest side of the country. One of the prettiest region of Slovenia with versatile activities that will know to suit our taste.

One of the must-visit in Slovenia. Lake Bled is famous for its fairy tale-like settings of the Castle Bled looking down on Lake Bled and the Church of the Assumption standing on Bled Island.

Vintgar Gorge

Located not far from Bled, the Vintgar Gorge, also known as Soteska Vintgar or Blejski Vintgar, is a beautiful hiking activity along and across the Radovna river, all the way to the impressive Šum waterfalls.

The perfect place for outdoors activities lovers. Hiking, rafting, canoeing, swimming or simply walking- all those activities can be easily done at Lake Bohinj.

The nearest town to my lovely farmhouse – Tržič is known as the shoemakers’town and it is surrounded by various point of different interest: historical, geological, architectural and more. The Dovžanova Soteska is a nice hiking path near my home.

Škofja Loka

The best-preserved Medieval town of Slovenia is indeed Škofja Loka with its beautiful Loka Castle and small garden – the perfect place to visit for a moment of relaxation.

Other interesting points of interest in the Gorenjska region are Kranj, Kranjska Gora, Planina, Triglav National Park, Radovljica, Jezersko, Begunje na Gorenjskem
